Heavy rains moved into far northwest Wisconsin along Lake Superior late this morning. Thunderstorms are in the forecast statewide for this afternoon and early evening.
Severe storms are possible, but the National Weather Service says the late morning thunder-boomers in the northwest are not as bad as what we’ve seen lately. Heavy rains and moderate winds were expected from those storms.
Once today’s storms clear out, dry-and-mild weather is expected for most of the week. Forecasters say there’s only a small chance of storms for the 4th of July weekend.
